I’ve noticed Hand Chairs in interiors quite a bit lately. Although they may look a little funny on their own, Hand Chairs look great when matched up with the right pieces of furniture. They can really add so much whimsy to a space. If you are familiar with Kelly Wearstler’s work, you most likely have seen these chairs in some of her designs.
Pedro Friedeberg is the designer of this chair. Pedro seems to be quite a character…in his bio he claims to have “invented several styles of architecture, as well as one new religion and two salads.” He also says, “I admire everything that is useless, frivolous and whimsical. I hate functionalism, post modernism and almost everything else.” His biography really is pretty amazing (funny), you should totally read it.
The space below is Emily Henderson’s study, designed by her of course.
Not 100% sure, but I think this interior was designed by Kelly Wearstler (BTW check out the floor, not like you could miss it)
